According to the Audit Team, the majority of the tally samples of these two indicators were guaranteed. The Commune-wide sanitation targets set by the Program are improved latrines for 70% of the households, hand washing place with soap or soap substitutes for 80% of the households; standardized water supply work and sanitation facility and operating hand-washing places for all of the local schools and health station. The audit team checked the actual operation of the equipped water meters, its index and general information of the households to measure the water use of the targeted households in this tally.
The Results-based Scaling up Rural Sanitation and Water Supply Program, financed by the World Bank in the 2016 -2021 period, aims to improve individual hygiene and environmental sanitation behavior, increase sustainable access to water supply and rural sanitation for 21 provinces of the Northern Mountainous, Central Highland and South Central regions. The Program has been implemented in Ninh Thuan under the cooperation among three units, namely Implementation for Capacity Development and ODA Water Resources Projects, Department of Education and Training, and Disease Control Centre (under Department of Health).
