At the conference, the PCU expressed their appreciation of the provinces which successfully completed the 2017 plan, which were checked by the State Audit. Ninh Thuan province was recognized as one of the provinces delivering excellent results. Up to the present, the Program has gone through more than half of the project time, so in order to ensure completion of the five-year plan, the PCU urged the provinces to promptly implement the project activities.
“Results-Based Scaling Up Rural Sanitation and Water Supply” Program, funded by the WB in the period 2016 - 2021, is aimed to improve individual hygiene behavior and environmental sanitation practices, and to increase sustainable access to rural sanitation and treated water at 21 provinces in the Northern Mountainous, Central Highland and South Central regions. In Ninh Thuan, the program has being implemented under the coordination of MCDU, the Department of Training and Education and Centre for Disease Control (under Department of Health).
