Through the visit and assessment, the pipelines conveying raw rater from the upstream to the treatment area have been severely damaged due to floods, landslides, filled water collector wells, the inactive water filtration pool, etc. Therefore, it’s truly essential to upgrade and expend the work based on utilizing the available pipeline system.
"The Raglai ethnic minority people almost occupy 100% of Phuoc Binh population. Therefore, it is really challenging to mobilize the people to connect water pipelines and pay for the monthly water use fee. However, due to the high demand for clean water in the commune, the Communal People's Committee commits to cooperated with the Project in promoting the propaganda programs as well as mobilizing the local people to participating in the water pipeline connection and water use payment. We also expect the project to be implemented soon”, said Mrs. Pinang Thi Co, Chairman of Phuoc Binh Communal People's Committee.
Phuoc Binh water supply system is included in the proposed investment portfolio in Ninh Thuan province which is under the Results-Based Scaling Up Rural Sanitation and Water Supply Program, financed by the World Bank for 21 provinces of the Northern Mountainous, Central Highland and South Central regions in the period 2016 – 2021.
