The workshop participants were representatives of World Bank (Ms. LiLian – Program Director under World Bank), leader of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Water resource directorate, National Centre for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation); Other international organizations and representatives of the provincial leaders and 21 investors of WB3R program (RB-SupRSWS) and 07 provinces under Pfoxp program; representatives of the communes in the province having community-based management of water supply scheme and another units.
At the workshop, the participants actively discussed after the presentations of the World Bank and ministries’ experts which relate to the Manual operation and maintenance guideline to ensure the sustainability of water supply works managed by Communes People's Committee. Also, the provincial representatives shared their experience of PforR program implementation in 8 Red River delta provinces. In addition, the provinces reported on the implementation in their regions, difficulties, proposed solutions and budget plan in 2017.
Through the discussion, the expert team who takes responsible to draft the manual will check each local reality, make field survey and revise to be suitable to each localities and the general national mechanism.
